Who should DNC present to the networks to analyze the Repub Convention?
If left to the networks, they will choose Joe Lieberman or Zell Miller-type Democrats to analyze the Repubs. We need to have a small group of partisan Democrats that will be ready to go on the cable shows and respond to each Repub point. Who would you volunteer to be on the Democratic Response Team?

16. The question is would they question the Bush regime?
Or would they be sitting in the middle and accomplishing nothing, as far as being a fair response to the Republican message?

23. my take
They would parse the speeches very well. Bill and Mary would would be very polite, and quietly point out inconsistancies in what was being said v. actions taken (or not taken). After that you'd have the clean up crew come in, Barney, Paul and Molly to skewer them, do a real Rove job, then at the end you'de have Joe, Barack and Harold to sweep up the mess and leave everyone with a positive "but this is what we would do as Democrats"...

See, you just can't assail someone and leave it at that. You have to be polite and point out their mistakes, giving them enough rope to hang themselves. Then yank it as hard as you can, hanging them with it. Then you need to leave the viewers with the "If we were in office this wouldn't have happened, that's why we are better, we care, etc.

I understand it's quite a politcal thing to do... but hey... sometimes telling someone to go fuck themselves (cheney themselves?), as much as you want to, is not the smart thing to do.

21. My Dem dream team would
include Kucinich, Boxer, Carville, Cleland, and Obama. The reality is they will trot out Zell, Lieberman, and Ed Koch, who'll spend their face time bashing the Dems while kissing repuke ass at every opportunity. If these guys are so enamored with repukes, they should have the guts to change their party affiliation.
