3. Yes! That is American grassroots activism in action
A whole bunch of Texans have restored my faith in them!

I bet Bush just hated that!

with water hoses. We can't have that many people congregating outside of a "free speech zone, now can we.

11. Water hoses and "unmuzzled dogs"...
Don't forget that unmuzzled dogs are a popular persuasion tool of the Bushistas...

(At least at Abu Ghraib)

F911 Crawford screening a huge hit
by kos

This must've been fun -- 3,000 people watching F911 outdoors, just miles from Bush's Crawford ranch.
Brian Munoz already saw the documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" in a theater, but he and some friends couldn't resist a chance to watch it again outdoors on a muggy summer night -- especially only a few miles from President Bush.

They were among more than 3,000 people -- three times more than originally expected -- who sat on lawn chairs, pillows or blankets Wednesday night, soaking in Michael Moore's film that lambasts Bush's decision to go to war with Iraq and his handling of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Moore was supposed to attend, but decided to stick around in Boston to avoid "overshadowing the film's message".

6. I heard a news report yesterday that some A-hole farmer dumped
several hundred pounds of manure in front of the venue. Any verification?

10. Yeppers, it's true
Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 11:16 AM by Trailrider1951
but the manure was the composted kind in bags. I guess the repug made his point without getting his hands dirty.

Oh, and by the way, the showing was sponsored by the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema here in Austin, where my daughter works. If y'all live in Texas where they have cinemas, Austin, Houston and San Antonio, you might give them some business, and say "Thank You!".

edited for further extraneous information!:silly:

12. That wasn't manure, it was a copy of the 9/11 report...
...dropped off there for Bush's reading pleasure while "vacationing" at his ranch.
