Anyone watched the RNC Attacks on CSPAN around 1:30-2PM EST?
Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 01:32 PM by Pachamama
The Repukes are trying to destroy the Dem Convention, calling it a sham and are telling how great Bu$h is and that Kerry is all a lie...

:grr:

On edit:

The activities on CSPAN I was referring to when I originally posted this are now over....it basically was a press conference with Ed Gillespie from the RNC and Rudy Giuliani and others (the Lt. Gov of Mass who is a Republican) all calling the Dem convention a sham and saying that the "makeover" of the Dem party is a lie and then attacking Kerry....its over now, but may be replayed and I'm certain they will keep at it....

This sh*t is pissing me off....

It's like ex-girlfriends crashing the ex-boyfriends wedding and nit-picking and putting down everything they can about him and the bride...

"Ooh....look at her dress...how tacky"

"Ooh...she's a slut...she shouldn't being wearing white"

"Ooh....he has a small pecker...anyone going with him deserves what they get"

And so on, and so on....

What pisses me off is think how many undecided voters want to hear the message and instead of getting the message from the Dems, they are getting it from the Repukes and the media whores that are tearing into the message like the analogy I just gave to a wedding....

I just hope the Dems are paying attention and can go full throttle to crash their wedding in NYC

2. I guess they realized that everyone was turning to CSPAN...
...to watch the convention instead of watching their trained seals on CNN/FAUX/MSNBC.

3. if yu support john kerry yu must be against the war and gay marriage
ever notice how repukes cannot talk about issues only attack their opponents with absurd emotion provoking charges, in fact framing arguements with absurdity is what they do best after flat out denial.

5. Considering Kerry's NOT against the war, how do they figure that?
For that matter he's also against gay marriage. Hell the right wingers should be applauding him on those points.

Funny that the Busheep want to attempt to assault Kerry on the very things that make some of us limit their "support" of his candidacy to just a vote in November.

Seiff). McGovern a decorated war hero. DEMOCRATS ARE NOT WIMPS.

7. not watching, but your comment reminds me of "Aren't you sick of it???"
from John Edwards last night.

The negative tone may help get their base to cough up more money to the cause, but it will be the final straw for undecided voters to go for Kerry/Edwards.

Another thread mentioned that Kerry is going to hold off on spending money on ads during August. This will let bush run rampaging the negative crap all over the place and it should turn undecideds off.

Kerry/Edwards are going to campaign across 21 states over two weeks right after the convention.

14. See my post above w/ the analogy to a wedding being crashed...
I'm so tired of it....the media really is controlled by the neo-cons...I didn't believe it before, now I do....

I just hope the Dems are going to take the high road in how they run the campaign (as they are doing, nothing fake about that) but I hope that they take a page out to the play book of the Repukes and let go on the media and crash the GOP wedding in NYC the same way that has been done to them....

Reason - because ultimately, he/she who controls the message, controls the views of the undecided and that, is the real issue here and the Republicans know that....

This is war...plain and simple and if the Dems can't get their message out, then how are they going to win? :eyes:

should be legal. We could have professional slappers on the floor to deal with this crap. I can't believe the Dems even let them in the door.

in young political figures, the scream was not what killed Dean but it was funny afterwards... I don't find him as objectionable as the Networks not fulfilling their duty. And I don't see a representative from the networks there if you notice.

AND WE ARE PISSED!!! AND WE NEED TO HAVE AS MUCH AMMUNITION TO BRING THESE CRIMINALS DOWN! WE HAVE TO USE THEIR ARGUMENTS TO ATTACK THEM LATER. I have always been offended by TV and after the elections it will be turned off forever (I didn't even have a TV for over 21 years, so for me it has been a SHOCK to see what shit it really is.. but I felt a moral obligation to KNOW so I can try to do something about it.)
