Kerry's plan, it just dawned on me!!!!
I know he is a great speaker, I've seen him.
Remember in 2000 when everyone thought *W was
going to be so horrible, and when he was able to
move his mouth the reeps were worshiping him.

Tonight Kerry will give a wonderful speech!!
Everyone will fall all over him!!!
I can't wait, What do you all think??

1. exactly
We need to play the same expectations game with the debates, especially Edwards v. Cheney.

Cheney should demolish the young, inexperienced Edwards, right? ;)

5. What do you think the surprise is?
Maybe it's that he's been practicing with an oration coach.

3. They say that when the chips are down,
Kerry comes through. His style of speaking has been altered by decades in the Senate, he will come out of that when the pressure is on.

4. I hope he can lose his "Senate" speaking style

keep it short. Spend 3 sentences on each topic at most.
Tell only one "personal" story.

Attack Bush.

(That would be a surprise, but would win the election)

I understand Lieberman is speaking a little before him. He makes a cadaver look charismatic.

OK, OK, I'll be nice now

7. Kerry's been in tough election spots before -
There is just no way this man chokes tonight. He'll do better than Edwards did last night - probably a lot better.

John Kerry hasn't stayed a US Senator for 20 years (in a highly political state) by losing his nerve when it came down to it. He beat Bill Weld and Weld was a great candidate with a good campaign that year - better than Kerry's.

Beyond that, if Kerry had a weak bone in his body, Ted Kennedy would have eaten him for lunch years ago and put in one of his nephews. (Sorry if that sounds terrible, but that's reality in Boston.)
