Sharpton proved the Democrats deserve the African American vote!
Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 01:47 PM by glarius
CNN has been quoting Al Sharpton all day, mostly about the forty acres and a mule remark.....making him sound like he was just ranting.....What they have NOT quoted is his most pertinent statement of all. He said, "Mr. president, our vote is not for sale. Those that earned our vote got our vote. We got the civil rights act under Democrats. We got the voting rights act under Democrats. We got the right to organize under Democrats." Doesn't this answer the question "do the Democrats take the African American vote for granted" that the talking heads have been hammering on all day?....The Democrats should use this quote in their commercials!

The quote was played in full on CBS radio this morning.

(So, at least one person heard it.)

5. That was my favorite line in his entire speech!
I love Rev. Sharpton's message, one if the best speeches we've heard yet.

3. Unfortunately for a shitload of Americans
their only connection to politics and the government is that they got some "free" money from chimpco in the form of a rebate and thats good enough for them, even as * & co. are ripping up the Constitution and shitting on the Bill of Rights.
