Democratic Convention night #4 thread #1
Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 03:21 PM by Bleachers7

Tonight is the big night. Kerry gives his acceptance speech tonight. There are many terrific speakers and I advise checking the list. There are way too many to mention. Some of the highlights are: Mark Warner, Gen. Wes Clark, Lieberman, Pelosi, Albright, Cleland and Kerry himself.

You can see the whole list here: http://www.dems2004.org/site/pp.asp?c=luI2LaPYG&b=130848

You can watch online at: http://www.dems2004.org and www.cspan.org

This is it. This is what we have been waiting for four almost 4 years. Have fun. It's our party!!!

 :yourock: :headbang:

17. Not true
We make choices and sometimes things have to go really, really awry for people to wake up and recognize what they value. In people's personal lives, in the life of the country and the world. This is a critical time, we have a serious choice to make in this country and I hope we make the right one.

10. Jack Ford up now!
I don't live in Toledo, but I live in an outlying suburbs. He didn't mention Toledo as home of the Tony Packo's hotdog.

In Toledo and in other cities, working families are shouldering higher healthcare burdens.

Brighter days are ahead for our country. Victory depends on the fight we wage, town to town, ward to ward, door to door, hand to hand, eyeball to eyeball.

I have never heard him talk. It wasn't bad. Now I must go run.

25. corinne was great. she said
God is good a couple times

immediately pointed out that she was the one who spoke out on the house floor against the 2000 election and that her words were stricken from the record

she said that in her district 27,000 votes were discounted for one wrong reason or another

she said "r" stands for reverse and "d" stands for drive and she wants america to go in forward drive and stop the reverse

she was pretty cool
