bush*co wanted a HVT captured during Dem Convention, I mean late July, and Pakistan had a little nuclear secrets problem of it's own, so they said, make that go away and we'll give you a very HVT on or about 7/29/04. Powell steps up and says the secrets are no big deal and gave them some other deal I can't recall. Now the payment comes due and they pull the bait(obl) and switches him with some Tanzanian guy. Mainly because if they were to give obl up from within Pakistan, Musharef wouldn't last the day.
