Jesus... The adulation for Matt Affleck er..I mean Ben Affleck is hilarious here. Props to Ben for being an articulate well informed Democrat, but come on folks, it's Ben Frickin Affleck, the worst actor since David Hasselhoff.

'bout time men were subject to those same rules, too!

When I pay good money for a big hollywood flick, I want to see decent acting. Pamela Andersons hot but I ain't gonna see one of her movies....er unless it's with Tommy Lee.

11. I understand
I enjoy quality but I can also enjoy fluff.

I wish studios cared more about the quality of the movies they produce, but it seems they just want money, regardless of how they get it.

3. Yeah I like his politics
But I hate his movies. Pearl Harbor was the worst movie in ages. So historically innacurate. And he just looks like an ass.

I like his politics though.

"I think we just started World War II."

BULLSHIT WWII started on Sept 1, 1939, when Germany invaded Poland and Britain and France declared war on Germany.

40. He's funny in Kevin Smith movies. Very natural.
But then again, I don't believe he's really "acting" in Kevin Smith movies, just being himself and having fun. Which is the type of roles he should be doing, IMHO.

He can be a fun and interesting guy to watch, just not dramatically.

32. Bruce Willis is a pompous, rude elitist.
He helped drive up "star" salaries AND inflicted "Hudson Hawk" on an unsuspecting nation and world. The fact that he's a Republican just adds to his jackassery, rather than establishing it. After all, there are many perfectly nice people who are Republicans. Willis is nasty AND a Republican.

25. I'm not a fan of Ben's acting but he's turning out to be a good spokesman
I am impressed with him as a solid spokesman for Democrats. He is very moderate with appeal to mainstream voters, instead of turning people off the way many of the Hollywood crowd does. He has been quite successful this week at standing up to the RW and not become a lightning rod.

34. He's a hell of a lot more talented than Hasselhoff
It actually amazes me that anyone would compare the two. Affleck has an academy award for screen writing. He's been in some great movies - Chasing Amy, Changing Lanes (a great movie), and Jersey Girl. He can do serious and comedic.

Ben is a well read bright thoughtful guy - who's both an actor and a writer.

Hasselhoff is just a cheesy TV star. Hasselhoff sings those cheesy songs to the Germans.

There's worlds of difference between Ben Affleck and David Hasselhoff...

35. Ben is OK in some roles
He was good in two of the Kevin Smith flicks - "Dogma" and "Chasing Amy" and beyond awful in others like "Armageddon" and "Gigli." (Yes, I watched it ... but I waited for it to come to cable.)

To me he is sort of like Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts ... a pretty face who can be very effective under the tutelage of a good director, or with material that feels comfortable and natural to him ... otherwise, look out and keep your barf bag handy.

Keanu Reeves on the other hand, just plain sucks in every role.

His more talented and probably more intelligent friend. But Ben's worked hard for the Dems back in 2000 and this year, so he's a friend of ours. Too bad he hasn't made a good movie since Good Will Hunting. Pearl Harbour, Reindeer Games, Gigli, Jersey Girl, etc.
