I'm worried (yeah yeah doom and gloom)
But I'm serious. The convention is going fine, but the media is just incessantly bringing up the $87 Billion, the Flip-Flopping charges, the "Kerry has no message" charges, and others. Fox News is virtually trying to destroy us, by refuting every claim at the convention and incessantly sniping at Kerry's character.

If this is what the country is seeing, can we really expect to sway the electorate?

I know there are many months to go, and in a way the presidential debates are more important that the conventions, but still, all I'm getting is negative vibes.

1. Are you watching CNN or MSNBC again?
Dude, we told you before, turn that shit off. CSPAN, PBS or stream it on the internet.

See? They got you worried, don't they? SEE? It WORKED!

4. Yes, I'm watching them AND C-SPAN
Just because I turn it off doesn't mean it goes away. Anyone else who watches it on the networks gets that kind of coverage.

Just because I decide to watch C-SPAN doesn't mean FOX stops spreading its lies. I'm concerned for the rest of the country.

3. The key is one on one.....
I've been talking with folks, and most aren't listening to news-if they do, they are not believing it. Only ones I've met who do are already dyed in the wool freepers. Make sure you talk to everyone, and keep to the facts. Make sure you register folks to vote, and on election day, make sure they go to the polls. That's the way we win...old fashioned one on one politicizing.

6. Yes, one on one we need to persuade people. Most aren't
watching Fox News or CNN or MSNBC.

Tell them that Bush is running up a huge deficit which threatens Social Security.

Tell them about his cuts to assistance for the poor such Section 8 Housing.

Tell them that more jobs have been lost than gained since he took office, and that when people take a new job in the Bush economy it's often at a lower salary.

5. All we can do is give it our best fight
Turn off the news profiteers on MSGOP and CNN and watch for yourself on C-Span-turn our backs to the North Wind and strengthen the heart-this is the fight for our beloved country

7. Faux News doesn't 'refute' anything
I think the fact that all the pigs have are negative smears and gross distortions of Kerry's record isn't such a bad thing. Yeah it sucks hearing it - and yes we should fight it - but I think it's making the repigs look pretty sick....

9. The media ravaged Gore in 2000 - and Gore won, probably by even more
than is usually stated.

And Gore had Clinton baggage.

And Bush was an unknown quantity, and is now a known criminal and failure.

Don't put too much stock in the power of the media.

14. "HOPE IS ON THE WAY'
You have to realize......that the convention is just bringing the hate machine on full force.
I think its kinda amusing to see them all squirming like fish out of
water. Im not to worried........the Rep. convention will never have
the impact the Democratic convention is stirring. Not everybody
in the world wants to hear the doom and gloom and fear tactics is
all they can offer.
So when in doubt.................repeat after me!!!!!

HOPE IS ON THE WAY!!!!!!!!!

17. It's a drop in the bucket compared to the total of the other news orgs.
I'm not saying the rest are perfect, but they don't out and outright lie as much as Faux does - there's two main kinds of Faux viewers - right wing nuts and progressives who want to see what the right wing nuts are saying....
