Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 07:16 PM by ayeshahaqqiqa
Now they are showing the end of the speech.

Earlier, they talked through Wes's request for a moment of silence. Dispicable!

6. <sigh>
Look, CNN has chosen to torpedo the dems, by any means necessary, in the desperate ploy to fluff their ratings. Ratings, that when broken down, do not represent a statistical tick against the population of the US.

Faux Lite, that's all they can think of to be. How pig-stupid is that?

Who gives a crusty fuck about them? They have jumped the entire world's population of sharks in one swell foop.

I'll tell you: Life without TV is sweet. Really.

16. Nielsen Families are ALL Republicans
They only want people who watch TV all the time, which is enough to make almost
anyone a Republican, especially these days.

14. What we need to do
Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 07:24 PM by Jawja
is start a campaign to require cable companies who offer packages to allow the consumer to pick and choose ALL stations. If we had the power to not subscribe to CNN, MSNBC, FAUX, etc. then that might make a difference to them. If we get cable (and we have to if we want sports, movies, sci-fi, etc.) we should have the right to reject stations.

In other words, cable subscribers pay for individual channels - outside of local stations - I'm sure Big Media would feel the heat on that one.

NOT.

BTW, Clark is just as progressive as either man on the ticket. But I doubt that it matters to you.

36. THat was one of the best speeches EVER (Biden's is close)
Wes gave them a total FU!

FU! you don't own the flag
FU! you didn't win the revolution
FU! you didn't win WWI
FU! we love the country more than you

Easily in the top 5 ever-just behind Jesse's speech in '92 and AHEAD of Bill's speech on Monday night.

Biden was unbelieveable (and dapperly dressed I might add).
