6. It isn't happening to us, but I know that the cable provider has
TRIED to do it here and elsewhere around the country. People threw hissy fits about it too. Tell your hubby to go for it!

I think I read where some folks awhile back got the entire c-span schedule hijacked completely for another program altogether. Really ticked off a lot of people.

It's a bunch of Soviet style bull pucky.......(control all the media)
:grr:

BWAHHH-HAAA like it would do any good, but I am really fired up over this. I am ready to acquire a tin-foil wardrobe!!

PS. Convention is back on, and I am writing a blistering complaint letter to Adelphia

25. Come to think of it...I do believe some people reported it directly
to C-SPAN. C-span was upset too. Try that. They may be able to do the footwork for you. Good luck!!

13. Mine is fine
I have DirecTv

I wonder if it is possible for someone in the area to jam the signal. Did you check to see if the satellite doesn't have any direct interference?

17. But they are mistaken! We are watching! By the way, there was a letter
to the editor of our local paper saying that "We must vote for Bush because God guides him and he is the only good thing for our country." or some such fundie pablum. I was surprised because I consider Kansas a Bush state that doesn't need that kind of letter... maybe I should be pushing for Kerry more? Do they think we have a prayer? (no pun intended)

I do think there might be a chance. I see very few Bush* stickers.
Not many Kerry either but in the last election there were nothing but Bush* stickers. It seems that for the last 6 months or so there have been so many anti Bush* LTTE's at least double the pros. I hate to get too excited, it is Kansas after all but still, I see no indication of a land slide for Bush* and that is bad in Kansas. Dunno

Gonna be in your town tomorrow moving my son! Trip to the Little Apple!

Edit to ask

What is your take from your area?

23. Nope, just moving.
He will be there for several more years. His band is renting a house, I am glad I am not their neighbor but I am also sad they will not be practicing in my basement anymore.

My youngest is moving out for UMKC in a couple of weeks. I am about to die. Are you hanging in there with your son leaving?

Edited on Thu Jul-29-04 07:51 PM by Dob Bole
I'm watching it at work. Even without hi-speed you can listen to it. (In fact, it's probably also on NPR.)
