Did our so called compassionate conservative even venture
to neighboring Dallas to visit the victims of the flood? To, at least, offer, yes, compassion?

I remember during Clinton first year, there were some floods in the Midwest, Iowa, I think, and he was there, hugging, empathizing. But, hey, he is a womanizer while Dubya is a compassionate conservative, or something.

(I don't know how far Dallas is from Crawford but I am sure that in Texas terms, it is closer than, say, Mankato MN where he is scheduled for a visit next week)

1. Clinton and Compassion...

I remember the OKC bombing when Clinton came here. It wasn't even like he was this big important guy. He was just a guy, hugging people, shedding tears, saying the right things to try to help people feel better.

Shrub doesn't understand what compassion means.

2. He can't be bothered with that now
He's got to be in Cleveland tomorrow to gather in some more loot. Priorities, you know.

3. Indeed, priorities
Hey, after all, if he has yet to express compassion for the families of the dead in Iraq, why bother with a trifle like flood in his own back yard?

Has he, will he, at least express his regret for the "casualties" in Iraq? I wonder.

8. Oh, Kirtland.
Too bad that's such a long haul for me. Not a chance of showing up THERE with rude signs. Not on a perfectly good Friday night, anyway. ;)

7. Only if they bring it to his attention that people are talking......
and it may hurt him politically if he doesn't visit the flood areas. Otherwise, Where's Dallas ??
