Best insight I've heard so far was on PBS...
...Michael Beschloss (sp?) said Kerry had the Presidential image down from the moment he walked on stage...coming from the back, shaking hands with the crowd, just like a President would do prior to a State of the Union speech. It struck me as important at the time, but Beschloss put his finger on it...JK was "presidential" before he spoke the first word! (There are some really smart people in this campaign!)

1. I tend to agree
The PBS coverage of the convention has been very good all week.

2. I agree...

My very fist impression of him, way back when, was that he looked presidential. At the time, I was not a supporter, but I looked at him, listened to him, and knew he had "it."

3. Did you see him just put his arm around Dean? that was so sweet
Dean was congratulating him but then got pushed aside by the crush, and sort of looked sad and off to the side, but Kerry put his arm around him and brought him along with him to include him in something. What a good guy!

7. OK
I'll go with that.

Let's face it, the guy looks like Lincoln.

I think we are going to CRUSH them in November.

12. "Looks like Lincoln. Sounds like Kennedy."
That's what a fellow veteran said about him in 1971 while protesting the Vietnam war with Kerry.

Tonight Kerry showed the nation.

8. David Brooks surrenders!
says whay he saw tonight was the rise if a kind of muscular centrism, and he thought it was very effective, and he did'nt know how the Republicans could respond. The Republicans will bring out their own brand of muscular centrism, Giusliani, McCain and Schwarzenegger, but they better not be negative!

Earlier he said negative attacks on Kerry is all they have at this point.

They are toast!

10. Yes, I heard him and chuckled.
They also said that this now forces the Republicans to start sending out a more positive message to attract the swing voters/moderates. That point is key.

Personally, I hope they keep bashing us and using negative campaign tactics. It will only hurt them.
