my uber conservative father actually thought Kerry's speech was "alright"

Before he left earlier today while I was once again hammering why Kerry must win, he did say "well I just might vote for Kerry to get that phony out of the white house"

mind you this is a guy whose ideal president is anyone who would be willing to drop a nuke on all the "towelheads" of the world.

Well I will never change him (interestingly he doesn't like Bush either (too liberal for him) ) BUT getting him to cast a vote for Kerry just out of spite....

Incidently and I have no idea how to respond to this he keeps insisting that "that bitch Hillary will have Kerry knocked off asap anyway so I don't see what the point is"

If your goal is to get him to vote for Kerry, then try avoiding confrontation and talking about people he hates, i.e. Hillary, and just say positive things about Kerry.
