You know, watching him give that speech tonight made me remember back to the first Kerry Meet-up we had at Duffy's in New Iberia where 3 people showed up and we got dirty looks and sneers from the other diners in the restaurant.....this made it all worth it!

And, did you see Mary Landrieu last night on Larry King...awesome. I phoned her office today to tell them that I've never been so proud to be a female-Louisiana-Democrat!

I joined the Dem meet-up group in Lafayette...getting moving on registering voters, forming committees to study local candidates.

I'm working locally with Democratic candidates for the city council race coming up. It looks good that all the Republicans on the current council, including the mayor, will not be reelected and all the seats that are termed out this election have a good chance of going to Democrats. Wish us luck!

He actually bragged about how wise his wife was, and how she spoke her mind! But the absolute best part was when he said that he *loved* her for that...so sweet!


He definitely has the female vote locked up, and it's not just because John Edwards is dreamy.

7. God, it just makes me so happy

the Kerry and Edwards marriages are really excellent models for successful modern marriages. Both the men and the women in these two marriages have their own goals and ideas, and both couples support each other in those pursuits. Kerry and Edwards are proud to have wives who are their equals, not their subordinates.
