Is this a new word? We should use it often. It's the antidote to the rightist rant against "hate-America liberals".

There's a song by that name. The other two hits (total of only three!) were actually the opposite of Moore's use: it was used to refer to people who hate the flag-waving rightists.

So, while this word is still young, we DUers need to spread its PROPER 'Moorean' usage:

Hatetriot (n.) a self-proclaimed patriot whose fervor is not love of country but hatred of the political opposition.

7. MM spoke @ a progressive

forum, yesterday, that was covered on c-span. I heard MM use the term then. Hatetriots, think we need the 'e' (w/o the 'e' it's a hat)is the perfect word. Need 2 start using it loud and often.

9. He finished up the interview by leading the audience singing America. . .

. . .the Beautiful. He was telling the Linda Ronstadt story, and that she had been invited back by the new owners of the Alladin, and that HE was invited also. When he said he was going to sing America the Beautiful with her, Leno badgered him into singing a few bars. Before I knew it he and Leno were both on their feet singing and the crowd singing along. Wow!!!!!
