Kerry Party at the Kentucky Theater --- Fantastic night
A local Democrat rented the Kentucky Theater, (actually the State Theater), for tonight. The convention was shown on the theater screen. We had a band playing, local politicians and activist gave rousing speeches.

Out front our group Kerry Wins Kentucky set up a table to sign up volunteers and give out bumper stickers and pins. We gave out about 300 to 400 bumper stickers and signed up over 180 new Kerry volunteers.

There was a party atmosphere inside and out. People were out on the sidewalk waving Kerry signs, cars were honking their horns. TV and radio vans were there filming and interviewing people.

We shut down our operation right before Max Cleland spoke. The theater was packed. people were sitting in the isles and standing in the back. The crowd was rowdy, clapping and cheering. Cleland and the band of brothers brought the crowd to their feet. When Kerry spoke the crowd went wild. His speech was beyond anyone's expectations.

So Friday I report to the county Democratic headquarters. I am ready to serve.

We got our marching orders. We will not settle for anything less than victory.
