Use the new word "hatetriot" early and often
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 12:06 AM by cmorea
Hatetriot (n.) a self-proclaimed patriot who does not so much love his country as hate anyone who opposes its established leadership. Most common among right-wingers. (insert image of Sean Hannity)

If we DUers don't use this word properly, the Freepers will turn it against us and they will continue to dominate the popular debate just as they have since the early 1980s.

5. Hmm...
It seems very neo-conish to use organized "talking-points" and widespread stereotypical phrases like that (even though it isn't stereotypical). I like that it describes a common feature of ignorant conservatives, but I kind of feel like the rank-and-file Bush zealots that you run into a lot. Does anyone else feel this way?
By the way, I like the term "make-shift patriot" to describe those who preach "Americanism" while completely opposing anything that they see to be different.

6. Define or be defined
If we don't shape the language, the rightists will. Have you been hearing that prof. from Berkeley? Liberals have just let the right-wing totally have their way with the English language for the past 30 years.

I want my language back. YEAAAAAH!
