A nervous prediction
I have a feeling that within 24 hours pictures of Sharpton standing right smack in the middle of the stage holding up a "Boot Bush" sign are going to be part of Republican attack ad. And it could be damaging.

(And before I get flamed....Yes, I am on the record as not liking Sharpton. But this is not about whether I like him or not. I'm just thinking that if I were a Republican operative, it is an image I would use).

1. I don't think that would be a particularly smart move for them.
For every bigot they'd energize, there'd be 6 of us saying "You go, Al."

17. Then we just need to replay all the "glowing comments" about Sharpton
that the repubes were saying during the primaries.. There were even republicans for Sharpton websites.. (wink-wink-nod-nod)..

Just like they are "supporting" Nader now.. They are a very transparent bunch..

Don't waste time worrying about the nonsense they pull..

I think that people are catching on to them..:)

12. people won't care . . .
everyone knows that Sharpton does his own thing, and he's not what this election is about . . . this election is a referendum on the Bush presidency . . . at this point in time, the vast majority of the country wants someone else, and they've been waiting to see if Kerry is that guy . . . this convention, and particularly Kerry's speech, answered that question . . .

18. Nuts.
Sharpton has many terrific qualities. Everybody knows he's a Democrat. Everybody also knows that if he were white, and if he hadn't stepped in a dung heap with the Brawley fiasco, he'd be our nominee today. He's probably America's most gifted living orator.

Everybody knows all of this. If the Rs want to waste their money sending a pointless message like that to all the bigoted pinheads in America, I say great. Do it! Please!
