MSGOP coverage was better than CNN, shameful
CNN's coverage was awful, terrible, really bad. Ralph Reed and Ed Gillepsie is not what I want to hear for comment on the Democratic convention.

Except for a disgusting first day, I thought MSNBC was pretty good, even Scarborough and Buchanan had nice things to say.

And Luntz's focus groups actually had good news for Kerry for once.

2. MSNBC wasn't bad
Much better than CNN, who was so fearful of offending their RW overlords that they had to balance every bit of the convention with RW pundits.

We shall see how they handle the RNC shindig.

MSNBC balanced their coverage well. There should be a Dem slant to it - it is their show, after all. And the people likely watching really don't want to listen to conservocrap.

I do wish they would have shown more of the speeches, rather than pundits shrieking nonstop, though.

Thank God for C-SPAN!

3. C-Span...

Was better than all of them.

I really don't know why people bothered with other networks.

5. #1) CSPAN #2) PBS #3) MSNBC #4) FAUX and the worst - CNN
The fact that FAUX news seemed good, says it all....CNN's so-called coverage was shameful...it was a Republican RNC produced sham....from every single minute of their self-important talking heads to about a 4:1 average of Republicans giving their input over the Dems...It reminded me of a wedding where the ex's of the bride and groom were invited to comment and they sat there slamming everything they could. CNN had Ed Gillespie on within minutes of Kerry's speech ending....That, following their 10 minutes of BALLOONS-BALLOONS I want the f*cking Balloons (they had the microphone "supposedly" mistakenly on from a Dem convention producer, yet no one else did)...they then spent 5 minutes talking about the "Balloon fiasco"...Mo "I want to be like Jon Stewart" Rocca was an un-funny jerk and Larry King and Tucker Carlson were asses.

MSNBC actually did a really decent job - they had good panels discussing issues and even Scarborough seemed "fair and balanced"....

Atleast CSPAN and PBS let the Cameras and microphones roll without the talking heads interrupting....

CNN was so obvious it was embarrassing, even FOX has more subtlety.

8. CNN's Worst moment - atleast tonite....
Was when Wesley Clark was speaking....he asked the entire delegation and convention for a moment of silence in memory of the fallen soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq....

Wolf Blitzer, Judy Woodruff and crew kept talking away even though the entire hall was silent...

Hateriots....FOX actually was better than CNN....

6. CNN is answering left wing challenges
Fox is the #1 cable news channel, and CNN is just taking a tip from them and taking their coverage to the right.

10. I watched MSNBC almost exclusively.
There were a few moments when I could have reached through the TV and strangled Tweedy, but I think if it's all put into prospective it was fairly balanced. Even Scarface was being fairly balanced. Hell Pat was nearly ready to get a John Kerry Bumper Sticker.

Pat Buchanan's own words (some what paraphrased): "If I didn't know Kerry's record and I was sitting home tonight, I could safely vote for John Kerry after seeing that speech."

13. Me too- When I saw Jeff "bobblehead"Greenfield
talking over speakers I wanted to see, especially tonite when he was talking over Wes Clark, I hit CSPAN then MSNBC to see pundits reactions. I was especially thrilled that even the repubs on MSNBC were at least basically honest, unlike Tucker Carlson who just seemed to be hateful and sullen thru the whole convention.

14. LOL Buchanan actually said that?
I was really surprised by Scarborough the other day. He actually said he could sleep ok at night with Kerry in the WH, even though he disagreed with him on 90% of the issues.

Osama is all that can save Bush now.
