4. It is very thought provoking |

Understanding what Kerry is and is not will help us continue to fight for the things Kerry identified as important in his speech tonight.

there is some guy bad mouthing Kerry - who are these people
on edit:
Oh it is Greg Palast and he is bad mouthing Kerry for saying he wouldn't send us to war because we want to go only if we need to go - and then voting for IWR....
I hate that Kerry voted for IWR but I don't think it is the same thing - if he had been President he wouldn't have iniated this bull shit like Bush did - he voted the way he did for unfortunately political cover - but I really don't think that means he would have started something like this.
This vote maybe a problem for him but maybe not because alot of people supported the war on the word of the liar who have now changed their minds. I never supported it because I've always known Bush was lying.

Listen to what they say. Webb and Palast know a lot more about how things work than anyone you will see on cable TV. Both support Kerry, but without illusions that Kerry will be The Second Coming of RFK or MLK. You may not agree completely (I don't) but they are instructive.
(edit: to spell Palast without an 'e')

7. he doensn't like the dems much....went after Clinton and Blair |
|
big time in his book, which I bought from him at one of his readings, along with a video
he's more interested in economic liberty than political parties
uhoh.....talking about the razor wire pens over the freespeech zones
did the DEMS have anything to do with that?
or was it the governor/federal cops doing that?
what's the deal? I heard dems didn't have control over that
now talking about his meetup with Michael Moore now
not in mood for buzzkill right now

10. You're right (but) ... |
|
A good friend with better judgment than I called tonight to say that Kerry and the convention speeches has got it right in terms of a winning strategy for reversing the coup. I agree, but Kerry still is presenting a program based on the assumption that corporatist hegemony and economic democracy are somehow compatible. Better than Armageddon, but less than Utopia.
