How Kerry will pay for his new programs
The cable news Talking Heads were grumbling that Kerry had no way to pay for all the new programs he proposed. They said that rescinding the tax break for the rich wouldn't be enough. BUT they failed to recall that he intends to close the tax break loopholes for the Corporations going/gone overseas. Considering the Corporate Mass Exodus that's occured with Bush*'s blessings these past years, there's one whoop-ass load of cash in that thar concept!

Just some ammo for when the Freeps start acting up.......

1. Exactly.
I don't know why the pundits didn't pay attention to that.

2. Plus corporate welfare
Which is a whole different bag than the overseas loopholes. Saving money by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices is another way. It's a comprehensive plan targeting every piece of the puzzle, then putting it all back together in a way that works for all of us.

4. Unfortunately, the heads are probably right
The "beast" is already famished... unless we get out of Iraq fast and there's some economic miracle, there simply is not enough money to fund the kinds of programs Kerry wants to enact AND pay down the deficit. Howard Dean knew this- which is why he advocated repealing all of the Bush tax cuts (even then, there probably wouldn't be enough).
