12. It's very obvious what it means |
|
If one reads the whole article. She was talking to fat cats. There is no subterfuge here. The Democrats and especially Bill Clinton have always said that the wealthy were going to have to give up there tax cut.

14. I think most people have a good understanding |
|
of what the common good is. It's not open to inteerpretation. It's as clear as the bright sunny day we are having today because Kerry is going to be the next President.

How could anyone have heard Bill Clinton's speech on Monday night and think that he doesn't want John Kerry to be the next president?
Besides, check out this excerpt from the linked text:
<<The rightwing theory is that Hillary Clinton wants to run in 2008. In order for this to happen she can't run against a sitting democratic president. So her and Bill have to make sure that Kerry loses in 2004.>>
The writer lost me as soon as he (she?) failed to hyphenate "right-wing." It only got worse, though, when he also neglected to include a comma after "happen," spelled "Democratic" with a lower-case D, and referred to "her and Bill." In the context above, the correct phrase would be "she and Bill."
I can't take seriously the opinion of any "writer" who is that ignorant of grammar, spelling, and punctuation! :eyes:

that Kerry himself said that he intends to repeal the tax cut for those making more than $200,000. See, when they quoted Hillary, they sniped the comments at what was likely a very important point. I haven't found the full text of her speech online, but I'm guessing that she was addressing her remarks to the very well to do.
The wingnuts want to trot out these tired themes...
1. Bill and Hillary have a plan to retake the White House somehow.
2. The Democrats want to increase taxes on everyone, not just the top 1 percent.
3. The democrats don't really care if they win the election this time, they are just teeing it up for a serious Hillary run in 4 years.
4. Wes Clark is being used as a tool of the Clinton Evil Empire.
and probably many others.
Anyway, it's all a lie. Don't believe this crap. Always, but always, consider the source.

7. Kerry got to Hillary tonight |
|
I noticed all through the convention that Hillary mostly politely applauded. But tonight, TONIGHT, the woman was on her feet with a huge grin across her face, Kerry got to her too. And not a peep has been heard from Bill all week, he's keeping out of the limelight so it will all go to Kerry. They're being awesome about this, everybody knows we have to get Bush out. And now they know more than that, Kerry is the exact person to lead this country to a place Bill and Hillary may never have even dreamed of. This whole sabatoge thing is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

I think they have links to all the speeches. And your right-wing nutcases can't say it is a biased source (though they probably will).

9. If you linked the original article, instead of the spun version |
|
you'd see the context. The link is right there!
"Hillary Clinton told several hundred supporters -- some of whom had ponied up as much as $10,000 to attend -- to expect to lose some of the tax cuts passed by President Bush if Democrats win the White House and control of Congress."
Yeah, people who can give $10,000 to a campaign probably do fall into the $200,000 or more a year bracket. So this is no surprise. Painting it as an attack by the Clintons is dumb and misleading.
So what help do you need? How to follow hyperlinks? You don't buy it, but you thought you'd bring it up anyway. Can we look forward to every half-assed political theory being shown on DU, just because it hasn't been noticed before?

16. The article left out the part |
|
about how Hillary will then make Bill VP or Sec'y State, so that they can have a unified power base to take over the world and bring on the Apocalypse, since they are together the anti-Christ. Then on inaguration day, the sun will turn to sackcloth and the skies to blood...etc. Asinine. That's where this line of reasoning is headed. Don't buy it. Hillary isn't going to run for President, and the RepubliKlingons keep trotting that out just as a boogeyman.
