How we respond to all questions/critiques of Kerry's military service
"At least he bothered to show up. That's more than Bush can say."

1. He showed up, and placed himself in an active combat zone.
Any questions about the validity of his medals should be irrelevant, because Kerry put himself directly in harm's way for this country. I don't see how this can be anything but a losing issue for the Repubs when they compare their AWOL C-in-C to Kerry.

2. How about
He served longer than Bush/Cheney and the rest of his Chickenhawk cohorts PUT TOGETHER!!! So go Cheney yourself!

Okay, I probably wouldn't say that to someone who sincerely had questions, but most of these jackasses are just trying to smear Kerry to make their Chimp-God look better.:puke:

3. I'm trying to think of a Well known war hero
someone everyone knows what they did.. like thise delta force guys in Somalia who gave up their lives trying to protect the black hawn heliocopter.

"perhaps if they woudl have stayed in the heliocopter, they would have survived, and the pilot wouldn't have been captured"

it's real easy when you're not getting shot at to make light of how people act when they are getting shot at.

4. The guys on the boat with him are supporting him. They are the ones
that actually know what he did when he was there. The rest of it is just partisan bullshit.

5. Absolutely
He VOLUNTEERED for combat duty. I can't stress this enough. John Kerry could have stayed on the destroyer, he could have had a nice, comfortable post somewhere, or been assigned stateside. Please ask every Repuglican you know to attack John Kerry's military service. It is their funeral.

Have at 'em: http://www.awolbush.com/whoserved.html

8. Rabbit Hole
As a friend put it when 9/11 happened, GWB jumped down a rabbit hole. If it's an expectation that leaders lead, were we all supposed to jump down a rabbit hole? Not even in my craziest dreams could I imagine John Kerry or General Clark even letting such a thought coming anywhere near them. Then the coward had the audacity to strut around in a flight suit, denigrating those who wear them to protect our country.

6. shame back at them that they would have the indecency to
attack a 20' something year old putting his life on the line for this nation. that receives a snort. watching speech last nite with a repug she asks, and kerry's wounds were how bad.

your right, he didnt die or get amputation, missing a hand or loss of body part, they pulled shrapnel out of leg, and out of arm, and if it had hit a little here or there could have been pulling it out of heart or eye

7. Don't dignify these slurs too much
he's only this or only that and then you riposte with qualified defenses?

So they are heaping scorn on everyone like Kerry? Those living in chicken coops protected by barbed wire shouldn't throw their poop around.
