Teresa Kerry's comments to GLBT caucus - another reason to love her

saw a link to this in a blog and I thought it was really sweet and wanted to share it:

"Teresa Heinz Kerry spoke on how the GLBT movement isn't where it should be in our accomplishments yet and how a Kerry/Edwards adminstration would move our community forward. Teresa expressed that she would share the "same joy with friends and family" as a wedding announcement if one of her children told her that they were gay.

Teresa also spoke of how a gay man, whose mom had not yet accepted him, once told her that he wished that she was his own mom. In turning to our broader community, she told the audience "At least, if nothing else, you will have a mom in the White House." The crowd erupted into a chant of "Momma T" the name some of her male frieds refer to her as."
