Kerry's eloquence of 33 years ago is mind blowing!!!
Just finished listening to Democracy Now! which broadcast two of Kerry's speeches -- one to the Winter Soldiers conference and the other his Congressional testimony.

What an excellent program! Amy Goodman is the best journalist in the country!

I had no idea that Kerry was that progressive, thoughtful and eloquent. Even if he has trained himself in "Congress speak" for the last several decades, I feel so much stronger in my support if he ever was able to express the sentiments in those speeches -- even 30 years ago. As one of the protestors in Boston put it, there must be some part of that young man still inside Kerry -- won't he please express it?

It's kind of sad -- like the plot of the movie Bullworth. So far, my support for Kerry, like many Dem's support of Kerry is based mainly on the "he can beat bush" idea, not a really strong embrace of Kerry himself. Hearing these speeched changes that for me.

Does Kerry suppress who he was inside to succeed in mainstream politics? Or has that young man completely disappeared?

Of course, he is way better than Shrub, but it would be great of there was something of the old-young Kerry inside waiting to express himself once Kerry is president.
