OK . . .JFK finishes the speech of his lifetime at around 10pm last night and struts his stuff all over the stage - the crowd goes wild, the GOP is feeling a a warm moisture fill their pants, and, like me, most democrats are tingling, no, sizzling in their hearts and minds - We will beat gwb. This man will be one of the best presidents in our lifetime!
That could've been enough, but NO! Then, here comes John Edwards onto the stage - I had forgotten about him over the last 3 or 4 hours. Now thats not fair - that's too much energy, optimism, and hope in one night all in the same place - the place was exploding.
And to top things off - here come the families - the hope and dreams of good, smart, caring, and passionate young people. Again they could've stopped there and kept it fair. . .but NOOOOO.
I see Barak Obama waltz onto the stage. . Oh yea, my heart sizzled even faster- that was just too much to handle - It just wasn't fair to gwb and the gop.
Thats Piling On and I want a penalty called!
(I hear the only reason the BIG DAWG didn't come rising out from behind the stage with arms spread open was because of physical engineering concerns)

I had to record it... was helping a family member move. Heard some of the speech on NPR, though.

When EVERYBODY finally got up on stage, it was almost sensory overload.
Remember that this primary season created sooooo many passions among us Democrats and at the end of it all, there we were: UNITED, STRONG, AND JOYFUL.
The mixture of races and ages on the stage were a perfect metaphor for all those things we stand for.
I felt like part of the family. Didn't you?

Normally I'm snoring like a bear at 11 pm. But last night I had to watch every detail. I'm a Kerry/Edwards groupie.

did you see how THK gently touched Obama's cheek? Where was her husband? (inspired by idiot CSPAN caller last night)
For the first time in years, I felt a wonderful optimism last night. Like the sun breaking through dark clouds. I don't think we could have hoped for a better convention, a more amazing group of speakers or more perfect Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates.
