Stop trying to understand the enemy.
There comes a time when the realization hits that nothing one can do or say will change a fools mind from that to a mind that thinks and to a heart that feels. Some simply don't have it in them. It is sad, but true. One can spend the rest of their life turning mental cartwheels to give them the benefit of the doubt, or one can wise up and understand that there is a limit to their capabilities.

I don't try to enlighten anyone anymore. It is a complete waste of time. They have access to the same information as the rest of us, and choose not to use knowledge, but rather to use hatred and bigotry as a tool. The country is divided between the fools and the rest of us, and the fools are winning the war that they started. Why is that? How can that be? I don't know, but I know it is true.

Many of the speeches given in the past few days mentioned in veiled terms that this is the election of our lifetimes. They didn't go into detail about the fact that it is a choice between fascism and democracy, because that wouldn't be "prudent." That, however, is the choice.

I make no distinction between those who run the country and those that put the democracy-rapists in charge. The personalization of this is not easy for many. Many don't want to think that the guy they talk to every day across the hall is a fascist fuck. They don't want to think that the woman they had lunch with is in bed every day with the rapists of democracy. It's not easy to contemplate, but it has to be done.

The 300 pound bully is still in the playground punching everyone in the face while the victims stand there and simply ask why.
