Do you think Bush will say "help is on the way" during the GOP convention? |
|
I'd be surprised if he even mentioned the word "god."
Kerry did a bang-up job of taking back the flag, the constitution, values, and all the rest, subtly giving Bush the finger in the process.
Damn good job, John! Kudos!

2. He seems to be going with "Results Matter" |
|
I can't figure out why they think they'll get anywhere with that. Their results have been abysmal!

4. I hope Kerry or Edwards challenges him today on this little |
|
byte. I hope they ask him when he plans to have results. What was that other slogan he used to use back in the day--Reformer with results or some such drivel?

5. Yes he will. He will claim that Kerry stole that from him |
|
and he'll have a (beside the) point. Kerry did steal that from Bush's acceptance speech at the 2000 RNC, when Bush (or was it Cheney?) said "help is on the way" to military personnel. But of course Kerry stole it for the purpose of reminding vets and military people that Bush hasn't kept his promise, in fact didn't help military people at all but put them in harm's way for no good reason.

8. He can claim it if he dares, but thinking people understand |
|
that Kerry is using the RWs slogans against them. The way he used those stock phrases and inane cliches last night simply highlighted the emptiness of their rhetoric. I'd say, keep doin' what you're doin', John. I with you.

7. Chimp will probably shift to an underdog mode |
|
Like he did at the Urban League, and do a "humble appeal" "I am here to ask for your votes". He has a very poor record and has involved this country in an unprovoked war costing untold billions of dollars and thousands of lives. The list of his mistakes, bad judgments and lies is practically endless. It would take an army of script writers to stretch his nothing into something.

10. The point about "God" is the one I liked the best. |
|
"I don't brag that God is on our side, I believe we're all on God's side". I can't wait to hear how they are going to manage an agrument against that one!
That has been one of their strong braging points all through the 2000 campaign and ever since. It must hurt to have it taken away in such a class act way.
