Bu$h - "What matters is Results" - huh????
And what results are those? He was talking so upbeat about all his results and I couldn't possibly think of what he could be referring to....

Anyone have an idea of what those "results" are other than getting Saddam Hussein? He talked about home ownership at an all-time high, but failed to mention foreclosures are on the rise because many Americans have lost their jobs...he talked about the War on Iraq and the "coalition", but he fails to mention what a blunder that War based on lies has been and the quickly crumbling so-called coalition...

So please someone, do tell what results he could possibly be referring to?

2. It's meaningless other than to blunt the fact that the ends do not justify
the means. Lies matter. Results of those lies also matter.

3. He's damn right!! Just look at the results. Look at the entire world.
The results have never been clearer. It isn't safe for Americans anywhere in the world ... including at home. That's also what Bush keeps telling us isn't it?

5. that's a very dangerous line for Bush
that could be turned around on him in a BIG way if the Kerry camp decides to do so and if they do so effectively

14. the longer Bush keeps saying it, the better it's going to be too
I hope he uses that line every time he's on television from now until the debates so that everyone has heard it ... then Kerry can stand there with the whole country watching and say "President Bush has led us from our largest surplus to our largest deficit -- results do matter. President Bush refuses to fund stem-cell research while thousands die from diseases that could be cured -- results do matter. President Bush has allowed corrupt corporations and big drug companies to raid the wallets of American consumers at will -- results do matter. President Bush misled the American people into war and now (fill in the number) brave American soldiers have lost their lives -- results do matter!"

cue 5 minute standing ovation ... game, set, election

Well, he DID manage to alienate the world, unite the Dems from all spectrums against him, and made things completely insane!

That's good for a listing in the My God What A Crappy President Hall of Shame....

18. He makes my brain hurt
He also shrieked his usual mantra - "The Democrats will raise taxes!" Funny, I listened to the entire Kerry speech and all I heard about taxes was that he'd roll back the tax cuts for the rich and give a tax cut to the middle class.

Bush is a liar and a snake. He repeats the same things over and over and people (sheep) believe it because they keep hearing it. And the "liberal media" gives him an outlet while they jump all over everything that comes out of a Democrat's mouth.

22. You just nailed it on the head.....Welcome to the DU Skygazer!
Couldn't tell from your lack-0-profile, but with only 35 posts, your either a Newbie or someone who is very sparing on their posts...

Either way - :hi:

You got it - I didn't hear Kerry say that he was raising taxes except rolling back the cuts on the top percent and individuals with over $200K income.....He said Tax CUTS for the Middle class - Not taxes...

Bu$h is a lieing piece of Sh*t.....the media are whores and its up to us to make sure we point this all out to the undecideds out there and "help them be informed of the truth"

Perhaps, governor bush, you'd care to read the middle part of the three fingers I'm holding up? If you can't read, have dick cheney interpret for you. He knows all about that kind of thing.

A track record only his mother could love.

21. WH wabsite
THE PRESIDENT: This week, members of the other party gathered in Boston. We heard a lot of clever speeches, and some big promises. My opponent has good intentions, but intentions do not always translate to results. (Applause.)

theres a couple more

You see, it's not enough to advocate reform -- you have to be able to get it done. (Applause.) When it comes to reforming schools provide an excellent education for all our children, results matter. When it comes to health care reforms to give families more access and more choices, results matter. When it comes to improving our economy and creating new jobs, results matter. (Applause.) When it comes to better securing our homeland and fighting the forces of terror, results matter. (Applause.) And when it comes to choosing a President, results matter. (Applause.)
