6. It's been bothering me no end since the Coup of December 2000.

8. My brother was sent there. I'm a little more than bothered by it.

I'm down right PISSED! People start talking about soldiers as if they're not flesh and blood. As if these men and women aren't the center of other people's universe. My brother has a wife who is madly in love with him and two wonderful sons. If anything happened to him, 3 lives would be shattered in the process.

People want to dismiss the pain that is caused by a death of a soldier because soldiers volunteer to put their lives in danger to protect this country. Some say ridiculous things like "well they knew the risks when they signed up" but so do police officers and fire fighters, but their deaths are trivialized. You would never hear windbags like Novak say "well only 3 officers were killed in the riot so it's not that bad" or "well there were only 2 fire fighters who died while trying to rescue the people in that burning building so I don't know what those liberals are complaining about!"

My brother never signed up to take over the world. His job description doesn't include having chicken hawks living vicariously through his heroism so they can pretend they understand the word patriotism.

now that it is out in plain sight, there is no way that they can put it back in. The simple truth is, they lied and we are in an unwinnable fiasco of a war because of it.
