Nancy Reagan to Bush...."We don't support your re-election" |
|
...Was Buxh elected once, already ? http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_4935.shtmlThis is almost toooo good to be true. Now I only hope that the media follows Nancy to the voting booth... It'll be clear who she IS voting for.

5. I believe it when it's GOOD news ..Hahahaha |
|
This all adds up, anyway. It's common knowledge how Nancy feels about Buxh, personally.

4. Isn't Capitol Hill Blue kind of a silly paper? |
|
Please don't put up To Good To Be True subject headings with stories from crank websites. It's gets my hopes up too high. I still fear a "surprise" visit of Nancy Reagan at the RNC Convention.

7. Everyone says that CHB can't be trusted |
|
but given the Esquire article and Ron's appearance at the Dem convention - doesn't this ring true to you.
We had a similar discussion regarding CHB reporting that Bush is on anti-depressants - however haven't we actually observed him being nasty and looking kind of glazed over sometimes when he is speaking - haven't we all suspected he is a dry drunk - doesn't that article ring true to you too. I guess both articles seem believable to me.

9. Yes, Capitol Hill Blue is a rag |
|
but it is still a good way to get the GOP's knickers in a twist.
I started a thread the other day with some choice Freeptard comments about Nancy in light of her not going to the convention. The Freeptards were dragging poor Nancy through the mud.
So much so that I thought it would be a good idea to share the vile comments with a link to the freeptards with Nancy's publicist. Let her see for herself what the GOP thinks of her.
If you know where to look, it isn't hard to find the name of someone's publicist or speaking engagement manager, and it's often a good way to get something in front of the person themselves. I got a reply of "Thank you" from her handler, so let's hope it has some influence.

8. one thing to remember-Nancy hates the bush family |
|
she will not be part of any show. she is from the old republican party who put up with the hard core right but had enough sense to keep them in their place. goldwater was the hard right back in the day but by todays standards would be almost a moderate in the party-zell miller-joe liberman type. also she must be appalled by the sleazy hangers on,such as the fundy preachers who kiss bush ass, back in the day only someone like billy grahman was exceptable...
the other thing to remember-nancy hasn`t lost her mind and ron isn`t going to displease his mother-what he says in public is what nancy is thinking....

10. another quote from same article: |
|
Michael Reagan said the following about his brother:
"Ron, however, claims George W. Bush has destroyed the Republican Party his father helped build."
/snip
I LOVE IT! There is a perception among repugs that the their party has been destroyed by disloyal people whom they should be able to take for granted!
Psychologists have field days with people who say "the universe is against me". I wonder what the equivalent analysis is for party-wide politics?

13. From The Referenced Article |
|
Ron Reagan is joined by his sister Patty in opposing Bush’s re-election effort. Only brother Michael Reagan, a conservative talk show host, supports the President and claims Ron is manipulating his mother.
Unlike the other Reagan children, Michael is not Reagan’s biological child. He was adopted by Reagan during the actor’s first marriage to actress Jane Wyman and often complains that his stepmother, Nancy, likes Ron best.
“He is her favorite,” Michael Reagan told Fox News. “Ron can do no wrong. I mean, basically that's it, Ron can do no wrong.”
Sounds about right - Ron is definitely right in this instance. But let's face facts, Mike - if you weren't trafficking on your adopted father's name, you'd be a worthless nobody today. Instead, you're a worthless nobody with a radio show.

18. So, Michael, what does Jane Wyman have to say about things? |
|
Since that's his mother, not Nancy. Their body language at the burial said volumes.

but is there another source on this besides Capitol Hill Blue? It's certainly plausible, as it's fairly widely known how NR utterly loathes the Bush clan, but I've seen this same article posted several times today without any sort of corroboration. (/buzzkill)
