Franken was a repeat today so I'm scanning the dial and wind up on Rush.

I should've followed my instinct to move on but I listened.

Within a minute he called (a couple of times) Kerry a war criminal based on his admitting to having committed atrocities. He ranted how Kerry was plucked from the generation that continues fighting against the Vietnam War and is called a hero because of a few Purple Hearts (never mentioned the Silver or Bronze Stars). He went on about Kerry and his anti-war generation. Adding that for all of Kerry and his ilk's anti-war rhetoric he didn't say he'd bring the troops home, in fact he'll add 40,000 troops in Iraq. (I believe Kerry said 40K but NOT in Iraq).

I shut it off as my lunch rose into my throat.

Being a masochist I tuned back awhile later. Now Rush was ranting about class warfare, Kerry'll raise your taxes and on and on. Even threw in some Clinton bashing.

Hateful, strident, full of lies, out of context nonsense. I know that's his shtick but it just seems so old and tired. Just what you'd expect.

That'll teach me to push scan again as soon as the radio stops on Rush.

Rush really is a sad, sad little lost soul. I can't imagine what it must be like to be him, so constipated inside, that he has to lie and mislead. What utter contempt he must have for his listeners, to spew such bald, transparent nonsense secure that none of the dittoheads will ever get a clue that they're being snowed. He has talent; it's beyond a shame that he uses it for such evil purposes.

This isn't to say that you can't be a principled right wing commentator. It is to say that Rush isn't one. (There aren't too many around these days, not since Buckley became such a hack.)

7. The really sad part is that his audience, the people that refer to

themselves as "ditto-heads" would not even think about checking up on anything that Rush spouts off about. If Rush says it, it is true.

Same thing applies to Hanity, Boortz, etc.

Republicans are not big on checking out "facts" for themselves. They tend to believe whatever they are told.

But its just silly to think that there is a monopoly of clear-headedness on one side of the fence, that there is absolutely nobody blinded by ideology on the left. I for one don't look at all the facts; its impossible to, besides devoting every second of your life to scowering left and right wing media to get the whole picture. I'm sure there's plenty I don't know about the Clintons in Right Wing circles and a lot I don't know about Bush in Left Wing circles.

Hhahaha..I asked him if he really thought people that saw F911 would walk out as a Buxh supporter. (He hasn't seen it)...He answered "That's what I hear".
