If Bush wins, it is definitely a sign that something is wrong
Most people are starving for change, and they are looking for new leadership. Bush is in my opinion, the worst President ever. We are facing not one, but two quaqmires often mistakenly called 'wars' by the 'Liberal' Media, and this has happened all thanks to Bush. We have a record deficit, massive unemployment, outsourcing, all thanks to Bush. We have an Attorney General who is racist, bigoted, and anti-Constitution all thanks to Bush. And, in one day we lost 3000 innocent lives, it could have been prevented or lessened, but it was not, and it is all thanks to Bush.

Kerry is not Bush-Lite. He will destroy the plans and the plots of Bush and the GOP. The vast majority of Americans do not want a Super-Corporation and/or a Theocracy for a Government, and Kerry will make sure that never happens.

However we are facing a resurrected problem that came in with Bush, disenfranchisement. Bad machines, 'Felon' Scrub lists, and the power to suspend the elections are all signs that we are losing our Democracy and if Bush wins, I think it means that there is no telling that our Democracy, Constitution, Rights, and Freedoms will be gone forever.

1. If * wins, people will be shooting each other and rioting
I kid you not. There are too many people who do not think * can win without cheating, therefore if he DOES win, he DID cheat.

(And I am one of them, though I don't know that I will be shooting anyone. Might tie some RWer shoelaces together, though.)

4. Vancouver is looking good.
I fully believe that John Kerry will get many more votes.

Will they be counted and will John be allowed to move into the White House?
That's the question critical to the future of our country and the world.

17. That's circular reasoning.
Of course he can win honestly. The polls are still close. Frankly, I think it will be a blow-out, one way or the other with the 'undecideds' breaking strongly at the last minute. I hope to Kerry, but that is not guaranteed. I intend to worry till the last minute.

3. Civil War will begin 11/3 if busholini "wins".
This may be what the power elite wants, anyway.

6. Not my idea,
and it would be a guerilla war, similar to Iraq and Viet Nam.

I don't believe they have 99%. I am well armed and so should you be by then.

7. I'm well armed as well
but it seems that most of the people here on DU refuse to believe that they will ever need a weapon.

Meanwhile, repug gun nuts are a dime a dozen.

8. Living in rural Texas convinced me I needed to balance the small arms race
I knew I needed to be ready to defend my 8 acres.

9. Your 8 acres or your life?
Violence used to protect property is folly, isn't that why we have criminal justice and insurance?

Due to human error I don't believe in the perfectly calculated application of lethal force.

14. If they are invading my place, they are going to kill me.
So they are inseperable. I would also be defending several other people's lives, as well.

If a toothless freeper is coming at me with a gun on 11/3, I will not be calling the cops or hoping I live long enough to make a claim on my medical insurance.

10. The question I ask is: whoever wins, will the result simply be accepted?
I think that even if John Kerry clearly wins a landslide, you are going to have Pukes running around crying "rigged election." That is, even if THEY rigged the election and STILL lost. Remember that Florida is not the only place where strange things were happening on election day in 2000. Strange numbers were coming up in precincts in Texas, Pukes were screaming bloody murder that people were being allowed to vote in St. Louis after the polls had closed, there were cries of foul play in Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Oregon. It was an ugly few weeks after the election. I do not anticipate this being any quieter of an election. If anything, it is going to be more problematic because Americans are sensitive to the problems. ANY small issue is going to get blown out of proportion, what with Americans' love of hyperbole. So, again, WHATEVER the result, will there be peace on 11/3/2004?

15. If that happens,
then it will be time to study how the dissenters survived in NAZI Germany during WWII because that is what will happen here.

Bush has been nice the past 4 years due to the influence of the upcoming election. Can you imagine how nasty those assholes will get when there is nothing to loose anymore?
