4. Easy there--
Remember the mantra to our misguided Republican friends:

"Please vote for Kerry and the Democratic Party candidates. If you can't bring yourself to vote for Kerry, consider leaving that particular vote uncast."

We don't have to give them a single inch on the issues. But we can still be civil.

5. My sister-in-law, for example. :(
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 03:18 PM by in_cog_ni_to
My sister and brother-in-law just came in from VA. today and stopped in OHIO to visit my sister-in-law yesterday. She was telling them about a date she went on and said, "YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT MOVIE MY DATE TOOK ME TO SEE!" (She was FURIOUS!) My sister said, "Let me guess, Fahrenheit 911." She indignantly said, "YES! I have NEVER seen such garbage in all my life! That was so one sided. What garbage!" I thought my brother-in-law was going to rip her apart. He told her (screamed at her) that if Bush gets re-selected, he could be out of a job next year. (He works for the post office) She didn't say anything to address that FACT to my brother-in-law. You know why she's going to vote for the shrub? ABORTION!!!! That's the ONLY reason. She doesn't know a g-d damn thing of what this man has done to this country, nor does she care to learn! This is a VERY intelligent, 51 year old woman. I swear, She IS! She is going to vote for the idiot just because he's anti-abortion. :puke: It makes me so angry I could SCREAM! :grr:

Our village/city is repub. I feel like the lone Dem in a sea of repukes. It's PURE hell. . It's bad...really, really bad.

We need to win OHIO this year. I just hope not everyone there is as bad as my sister-in-law. :scared:

11. Ask her why, with The Republicans in Power for over a Decade
At some level, and at All Five levels of Government of late, is abortion still legal? Isn't that a sign of Abject Failure on their part to do anything about This Abomination?

Has she considered that maybe, just maybe, they want Abortion to Stay Legal so they have a Wedge Issue to manipulate people like herself? Finally, Has she considered that she is just a Complete Moran?

I love your suggestions, but she REFUSES to discuss politics with me. The last time we did discuss the idiot...she refused to believe a word I said. "Nope, nope, nope...I don't believe it and I'm not talking politics with you guys because I'm way out numbered here." She's the ONLY repub in the entire family. Even my deceased brother was a Dem. Go figure! This all started years ago when she started going to Church on a regular basis...a Lutheran Church. :( She actually use to be a Democrat, until the church got to her. IMCPO

should be forced to pay the rest of us compensatory damages for pain and suffering.

8. They tend to suffer enough without being insulted.
Some of Bush's backers obviously are seething piles of shit. Bush gladly accepts the votes of hate-filled racists, for example. Without racists, the Republican party would not exist.

But I feel a little sorry for the Republican voters who aren't motivated by evil. These people have only one mind, after all. Imagine having to survive in the world with mental tooling that concludes Bush is presidential.

Non-wealthy Bush backers have a place in the animal kingdom. They are the prey at the base of the food chain. I pity them, but hey, someone has to be a sucker or there wouldn't be anyone for the rest of us to take advantage of. ;-)

10. No shit
If the senate vote outcome is close, maintaining the status quo, there had better be some GOP switches, or we are sunk.

16. Oh sure, piss off the ones who have already seen the light
There are many new posters here saying they have finally seen through the fog. There are many good Republicans still out there who are still standing blind in the fog.

We should not be insult them because they are still victims of the RW media blitz.

Now if you were talking about the RW fundies, go ahead insult away.

17. Fuck them if they don't police themselves.
They are responsible for letting this happen even moreso than those who didn't vote as they actively participated. If they don't work to fix it now, they are traitors, and I have no sympathy for them.
