Budget deficit is $445 billion. That's GOOD! |
|
So the administration says. It's lower than we thought it would be, so that shows we're heading in the right direction.
Oh my, that's almost as good as "Outsourcing is good for America."

You know Rummy just can't predict how much he'll need, 'cause there are unknown knowns and unknown unknowns, etc., etc.

I lost 10 grand in Vegas last weekend. I thought I was going to be down $12,000, so we actually saved two grand. Let's go out to dinner!

... every deficit figure offered by the administration is the net figure after subtracting an amount borrowed from the Social Security/Medicare trust fund. The actual deficit will be about $630 billion. That's money that still has to be paid back (unless, of course, the Bushies want to break the SS bank, which is part of their intention in creating such large deficits).
So, it's much worse than they're advertising--much worse.
