Canton Ohio - Is Timkin gonna save jobs for *

Just hours after accepting the Democratic nomination for vice president, John Edwards yesterday woke up a bleary-eyed Ohio convention delegation, declaring the state "ground zero" for the 2004 presidential election.

"It's not an accident that George Bush and Dick Cheney are spending so much time in Ohio as they have," he said. "It's not an accident that John Kerry and I intend to spend enormous time in the state of Ohio."

<snip>

It is no accident that Bush is headed for Canton tomorrow. Jim Ruvolo, state chairman of the Kerry campaign, said he suspects an announcement will be made that at least some of those jobs will be saved. The company chairman, Tim Timkin Jr., is a major Bush financial supporter.
