We had our chance to go after Al-qaeda in Afghanistan and get out of
Arab countries. That was our only hope for peace. We refuse to do what they say is what they want: get out of their lands and have a balanced foreign policy toward the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. WE ALL REFUSE TO DO THAT, Dems and Republicans alike. Therefore, there is no hope for peace in the world nor a return of US esteem and respect in the rest of the world. No matter who takes office the Bush regime has killed too many Islamic/Arab mothers, fathers, husbands, children in its invasion of Iraq and indirectly caused the deaths of hundreds of others. The vengence against us will continue for generations, mark my words. We had a chance, but Bush and his neocons keep digging us further and further into the abyss. This will equal the "hundred years war" at least. There is no turning back and we can't kill them all although, I know the neocons and the RW-funddies in this country would like to try.

Osama said from the very beginning right after we trooped up in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm, that we needed to get out of their holy lands and reign in the Israeli terror agaisnt the Palestinians. Instead we refused to hear that and this administration has taken our deafness to a new level. I want Kerry to be President, but there is virtually nothing he or his administration will be able to do to turn back this clock. It is so, so sad.

1. bin Laden is irrelevant! Bush said so!
‘The goal has never been to get bin Laden’, said General Richard Myers, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, on 6 April 2002.

‘I truly am not that concerned about him’, said President George W Bush on 13 March 2002

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

2. Absolutely right
and this is why I vehemently disagree with both Bush and Kerry's plan for Iraq.

And you're right about bin Laden. He only turned against us after we kept permanent military bases in Saudi after Desert Storm. Had US troops cleared the hell out after the "war" was over, we would never have had the embassy bombings in East Africa, or the events of 9/11.

Unfortunately, NEITHER major party is advocating the withdrawl of US troops from Iraq any time soon. In fact, the US plans to keep troops there PERMANENTLY even after the "occupation" is over. This will do NOTHING to solve the problem of militant Islamic terrorism.

A continuing US military presence in the Arab world and our continuing support of militant Zionism in Israel are the two roadblocks that stand in the way of peace in the region.

The PLO and Israel's neighbors have stated, REPEATEDLY, since the 1970s that Israel will get peace when it returns to its pre-1967 boundaries-- which means moving out of ALL the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem.

Peace IS possible-- but the small minds of our politicians won't allow it.

3. We needed to respond to 9/11 with the following steps

1. Invade Afghanistan with overwhelming ground force to remove the
Taliban and arrest Bin Laden.

2. We needed to create a $100B program to develop and DEPLOY
the technology to remove us from fossil fuel...

3. We needed to immediate up the tax on gasoline to pay for #2.

4. We needed to immediately increase the fleet standard for MPG
AS A STOP GAP until #2.

5. We needed to tell the Kingdom "sorry guys, you are on your own
now" and removed our troops from Saudi Arabia

6. We needed to tell Israel "sorry guys, it's time you made some
sort of peace deal that deals with the Palistinians... we'll help,
but you don't have a lot of time on this"

7. We needed to keep the inspectors in Iraq, and tell Iraq that
IF they didn't cooperate, what they see happening in Afghanistan
would happen to them next.

That's about it.

4. Sounds good to me. Send it off to the Kerry campaign.
But no one will listen.

5. Read "Escape from Afghanistan"
at: www.cooperativeresearch.org

They let the lots of AQ and Pakistani's escape before the show bombing of Tora-Bora. Makes one wonder why they did that.....
