Taking on Tom DeLay.
Tom DeLay thinks he is the most powerful man in America, and doesn't hesitate to let everyone know. In May 2003, the Washington Post reported that DeLay was asked not to smoke a cigar in a federal building (which is against the law). Before storming out, he told everyone,

"I AM the federal government."

1. If you really want to take on DeLay...
Donate a couple dollars to Richard Morrison, the man that will stomp the bug man.

Learn more about Richard here: http://www.richardmorrisonfordistrict22.com/

Here is a recent poll:

DeLay (R) 49
Morrison (D) 39
Fjetland (I) 7

DeLay is running 11 points behind Bush in his district. Also, Morrison's ID numbers are VERY low. As more people get to know him, his numbers will improve. However, he needs money to improve his ID, so if you have a couple bucks, send it his way.

Just so you know, Fjetland lost to DeLay in the Repug primary and will stop at nothing to see DeLay loose.

4. Do you think he would drop out and support Morrison?
Translating to Morrison getting on DeLay's tail. What do you mean about DeLay being behind Bush in his district? Meaning that Bush is more popular than DeLay in that district?

5. I don't think so
He is pretty far to the right, so I don't think his supporters would switch to Morrison. However, he would love to see DeLay gone so he can run in 2006. The man has millions to spend, and he is ready to attack DeLay.

As far as DeLay being behind Bush, in the same poll, Bush got 60% to DeLay's 49%. This is a big difference between the two and shows how much folks are upset with DeLay.

Don't get me wrong, this is still a long shot, but it is looking better with every poll. Morrison is a smart guy with a good record. Add to that his $200,000 already raised and DeLay is actually in for a fight.

2. Tom could learn a lesson from Newt.
Remember when Newt and Bob Dole went with Clinton on AF-1 to a state funeral (Rabin?), and Newt and Bob had to ride in the back of AF-1? Isn't that when Newt decided to shut down the federal government, in retaliation for having to ride in the back of the plane? Boy, he ended up eating shit on that one, he did!

Tom, don't let this happen to you!!
