If you had a $50 to spare, would you give it to "Democracy for America" at:

4. What madfloridian said...
Getting People involved in politics from the very grassroots position. Not only involved but running for offices even if they don't seemingly have a chance ..they are at least out there trying and getting known!

Someday it will show up in our Senate and House.

3. Supporting candidates. Taking back the country from the ground up.
It is such a unique idea to begin with. He makes it clear he based the idea on the Christian Coalition and Ralph Reed's tactic of getting their people into local grassroots positions. Some of the Dean Dozen are running for road board, school board, local judges, county commissioners, and elections supervisors.

This method is as vital in its way as just supporting national leaders. It has given me a new way of looking at this issue.

We donate regularly to the group itself, and we send moderate amounts to some of the candidates themselves.

The Dean Dozen button does not seem to be on the front page, just at the blog:

Fundraising this week is going well, up from earlier in the year. That is a 3 day total. Last quarter was good, this looks better.

Here is the home page for the Dean Dozen from each state. I do know they are doing pretty well for a start up organization. 4 of 5 of the candidates in GA won their primaries. That is good.
