More jobs leaving EAST TN, good ole Bill Frist's HOME STATE
http://www.volunteertv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2113348&nav=4QcHPNLn

here ya go.... Some more of that good job market news. Also, for anyone who remembers, compare this story to the NORTH AMERICAN PHILIPS (PHILIPS, TV, VCR's, etc.) purchase of Magnavox back in the early 80's. By damned, if the employees union won't negotiate and give us what we want, we'll just sell the damned company, lay everyone off and the rehire the one's we want and pay them a fraction of what we did pay them and cut their benefits...... Anyway, a snip

snip

At the height of business, Fulton Bellows employed more than 15,000 people in East Tennessee.

On Friday, they employed less than 150. But, on Monday, at least for a few days, they'll be down to just a handful.

WVLT Volunteer TV's Ron Sprowl joins us with more.

145 workers, some with as many as 50 years on the job, will be unemployed Monday.

Fulton Bellows will remain open and restart business within a few weeks. But workers need to reapply for their jobs.

"It's a sad day to see people you work with all your life going out the gate," says Wes Poe, Fulton employee.

Today will be the next to the last time many of these Fulton Bellows employees walk through this gate.

While Fulton Bellows and components will stay in Knoxville, all 145 workers will be out of a job come Monday.

Wayne Moran has worked at the plant since graduating from high school, almost thirty three years he's put in.

"After the sale we were told everybody would have to re-apply for jobs. And i think thats a way to weed people out to get who they want," says Wayne Moran, union president.

The 100 year old Knoxville company makes bellows

ASK BILL FRIST how good things are in Tennessee and watch him lie his way out.... LOL!

5. The Way Bill Frist Has Failed As Majority Leader Has Made Him Look Very In
He was a decent human being when he was a surgeon and before he became Karl Rove's Dancing Monkey

6. You mean back when he was killing kittens? Was he decent then?
'Cause it's sure fucking news to me. This asshole bought himself a senate seat to give his family's company tax breaks. Tell me again about when he was a decent human being. I love bedtime stories.

3. I hate this. So many jobs have left this state and I fear it will be hard
for people to recover. It's a damned shame that this kind of crap may be feeding into attitudes changing toward Bush* and his wrecking crew.
