Trying to find a story regarding Kerry and a friend, please help.

I vaguely remember reading some months back a story about John Kerry and a lady he regularly had dinner with. He recognised her daughter many years later at a political event and even remembered that she had been hospitalized and asked how everything came out. That is all I remember, and it's foggy.

I'm trying to introduce Kerry to my cousin, who I have never met but converse with regularly via email. She is a conservative and really nice. I remember being touched to the core by the story, and I would like to share.

It was from a reporter I believe, who's whole point was that there is a real person under Kerry's rough exterior. An extraordinary person, who really cares about the people he meets. I hope someone can help me here.

Unfortunately, I read it at lunch at work. I was very busy that day and didn't save it.
