Poll question: Does Kerry want to bring the troops home from Iraq?
Note:

the question is not: Is Kerry promising to immediately withdraw from Iraq?

the question is not: Is Kerry calling for immediate withdrawal from Iraq?

the question is not: Has Kerry proposed a plan for withdrawing from Iraq?

And on my first day in office, I will send a message to every man and woman in our armed forces: You will never be asked to fight a war without a plan to win the peace.

I know what we have to do in Iraq. We need a President who has the credibility to bring our allies to our side and share the burden, reduce the cost to American taxpayers, and reduce the risk to American soldiers. That's the right way to get the job done and bring our troops home.

Here is the reality: that won't happen until we have a president who restores America's respect and leadership - so we don't have to go it alone in the world.

John Kerry, acceptance speech, 7.29.2004

the question is: Does Kerry want to bring the troops home from Iraq?

1. Of course Kerry wants to bring the troops home.
However he knows that we have to fix Bush's mess first, and I agree with him.

32% so far don't think agree. But why? What do they think he wants, and why do they think that? Based on what evidence? I don't get it.

3. He wants to bring them home eventually
However, he feels we need another 40,000 in the armed forces so we can do so at the proper time. At least that's the way I understand it
