Powerful stuff: NOW and Bill Moyers
Author Benjamin Barber http://www.pbs.org/now/politics/barber.html made a lot of sense.

In essence he said:

The first step in fighting terrorism is not to permit fear to guide us in making decisions. Fear is the only thing terrorists have since they have no power. Remember on 9/11 they attacked us with four planes we shut down all planes and airports for four days. They impacted the financial markets in the immediacy of the attacks. We shut down the markets for four more days. They got us to do the things they cannot do. We hurt ourselves not them--and we've continued to do that ever since.

8. That was great.
I think it was the first time I ever saw any of it televised either. What took so damn long? Looks like Florida's still a damn mess as well.

3. Fear

Fear, on that measurement Usama has won. He's sitting back laughing. He predicted we'd invade a Muslim country, and we have made all his dreams come true. He couldn't be happier.

He won. He got what he wanted.

he's written something like 14 books about the middle east if I am not mistaken.

5. Barber is as dumb as a post turtle
He can't even pronounce Arabic place names correctly let alone say more than half of what the real problems are in the Muslim world. Yeah, I know I'll hear about this opinion but it is time we get people who really know the territory to do a better job of articulating what direction the USA should be going in regarding our foreign policy. Barber actually said he didn't really believe that the Iraq war was about oil. Get a grip man!

6. I thought he was pretty good. come on, Bush is a post turtle.
and Barber was a lot better than that. Yeah, the oil thing was bad, but he sang a tune I liked hearing on the fear and terrorism stuff.
