Funny Ali G show update

For those that don't know, Ali G is a show on HBO featuring british comic Sacha Baron Cohen.

On the show, he potrays a reporter from another country named Borat. He goes around posing as a reporter and basically, it's a laugh riot.

On the second show he interviews a Repug fundie wingnut names James Broadwater who was running for a seat in Congress. The segment is off the charts funny.

1. Some is funny

I find some of it boring but crack up on some of the sections, the one you mentioned was pretty good, I also thought the show where he was interviewing religious people and he accused the one of not flushing the toilet was extremely funny. At times it is realy sick...

2. I watched it for the first time last week...

the episode where he meets the redneck wine guys in Mississippi. I swear I almost pissed my pants. When he passed out pictures of him and his sister.....

3. That was great

You could almost tell the one guy didn't want Borat drinking from his glass. Maybe it's just me.

Another great line when he had someone on from the CIA: "What do you think is an acceptable punishment for suicide bombers?"

4. I know it's totally incorrect...

but when he said "My mother didn't love me. Sometimes I wish she'd been raped by somebody else so I wouldn't be here..." I had to pause the Tivo so my bf and I could laugh for a solid 5 minutes.

5. Yeah I remember that too

He showed full Beaver shots of his "sister" at a rodeo. The people were stunned. Borat is by far and away my favorite part of the show. I could watch that for hours.

Glad there are others here that appreciate the show.

6. Borat

was un-fucking-believably funny. The Ali G character is good, but Borat is Da Man. I only saw one episode... can't wait to see more. The guy is a genius.


Edit: I also really enjoyed the gay character who asked the fundy minister if it was OK to be fabulous.

That being fabulous was wrong because it was decadent or something?

One thing I love about this show is he potrays these people as the nutcases they actually are. There's no filtering.
