More watched Kerry in 2004 than Gore in 2000
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=televisionNews&storyID=5833921
Kerry's speech had more viewers than Gore's acceptance speech in 2000.

What does this say?

Who knows, but maybe it says that people are more interested this year and we'll have more people showing up to vote. How much of America voted in 2000? 50%? That's pathetic. Hopefully this year, more people will use their right to vote!

1. And they are not even counting PBS and CSpan
Who both drew a lot of viewers because of no commentators.

But the article claims 24.4 million viewers, woohoo!

2. No doubt about it
People are pissed off and motivated to make things right this November. I know of 4 people who didnt vote in 2000 who will definitely be voting this time. Too much at stake to stay at home. Maybe its just that I am noticing it more but the amount of enthusiasm and support for regime change here at home is astounding. I dont want to make a prediction but, I dont think this is going to be nearly as tight a race as the media would have us believe.

3. I know I'm more interested
I've NEVER watched 4 days of a convention before almost nonstop from the moment it started on C-Span! I'm from VA and I really believe that the voters in this state will vote for Kerry this time around. People have gotten excited around this area (SW). People have just got to see the light soon. I can't believe so many people are fooled by the lying liar and his cronies. Who can tell me what these people see in him? He isn't strong; he's a fool. He isn't spiritual; he's a fanatic like David Koresch. And anyone who listens to the man try to speak extemporaneously can tell he has no sense. I can't wait until the debates. I know in my entire being that John Kerry will make mince meat of him there.

4. that's because voters seriously want someone other than Bush . . .
in the White House . . . and they're starting to tune in to see if Kerry is an acceptable alternative . . . those who watched the speech likely feel that he is . . . and the number will keep growing as he continues to campaign . . .
