"Results Matter" - are they serious?
What a joke - that has so many responses, I'm sure they'll dump it quickly. But, let's come up with a list:

1) Record budget deficits.
2) Osama still at large
3) Record amount of worldwide terror in 2003
4) worst jobs record since Herbert "Depression" Hoover

1. Isn't it amazing
Almost all bad results from Bush but the line is intended as a reference to his tax cuts probably, the only thing Bush can mention that some voters will go "Yea, tax cuts, woo hoo"

2. "Results Matter" is basically saying...
"The Ends are justified by the Means"

What should matter:
"People Matter"
"Children Matter"
"Education Matters"
"Safety Matters"
"The Environment Matters"
"Diversity Matters"
"Peace Matters" - Imagine, that one coming from our so-called 'Peace President'!
"Trust in Governemnt Matters"

Results Matter? I don't want good results if I can't get good ways to get to those results. And if Bush is talking about results when it comes to the war on terror, Osama is still at large, Terrorists are terrorizing Iraq like never before, and there have been more terror attacks than ever before. Is this all justified through two wars that have killed 10's of 1000's of innocent people?

3. I think it's great...
...because results do matter, and despite Bush's "good intentions", everything he touches turns to shit. Maybe he really meant to make America stronger when he instead created recruitment posters by the thousands for al Queada. Maybe he really wants to make "the economy stronger", but instead we've an economy where wealth and financial security are flowing ever upward. Perhaps it's not his intention that children be left victim to schools stripped of their ability to meet students learning needs. Surely he didn't mean for more children and seniors to be left without health care options, but that's been the results of his actions. Hell yeah, Results Matter, and on that basis, Bush should be in a jail cell. With criminal prosecution, you have to prove intent, but based on his criteria, he'd be wearing an orange jumpsuit.

4. When my local NPR station reported this
they talked about the 'great economy' last-and then in the next story explained how economic indicators were going down! I hope he keeps up this campaign slogan, because it will make people look seriously at what he has done.

6. the real Kerry response here:
http://blog.johnkerry.com/rapidresponse/archives/002284.html#more

<snip>

Continuing to cast one misleading attack after another, George Bush unveiled a new stump speech once again devoid of any ideas for how he would lead the nation but chock full of scurrilous attacks against John Kerry.

Kerry spokesman Phil Singer: "Results do matter, and the fact that George Bush's policies have resulted in record deficits, skyrocketing health costs, lower quality jobs, a military stetched thin and an isolated nation stand in stark contrast to John Kerry's plan to make America stronger at home and more respected in the world."

<snip>

Followed by good stuff on Kerry's record.

7. I think they are correct...results matter
And their results do matter!

1) Record budget deficits.
2) Osama still at large
3) Record amount of worldwide terror in 2003
4) worst jobs record since Herbert "Depression" Hoover

Such "results" will be their ultimate undoing...in a free and fair election, of course.
