Who should CNN have commenting on RNC convention and * Bio? |
|
CNN, from the little I saw, had people commenting on the DNC Convention such as Ralph Reed, Zell Miller, Laura Ingraham, and Brent Bozell. And the Candy Crowley biography "Born to Run" managed to include virtually every rightwing smear against Kerry, with character analyses from people like Bob Dole. (Remind me if you recall others.)
I'm thinking we could send CNN lists of people who should discuss the Chimp's character in his upcoming CNN biography (knowing him well not really required), and who could comment on the RNC convention, especially immediately after the main speeches each night.
For example:
Michael Moore Al Franken Jeanneane Garafolo Joe Conason Bill Maher Mario Cuomo Ann Richards Whoopi Goldberg
Who would you love to see Wolf and Judy turn to and say, "What did you think of that speech? Are the Republicans hitting the right notes?"

35. Chomsky will put everyone to sleep |
|
There would be a zero ratings boost with a Chomsky and any message the democrats would want to get out would be in vain. You want someone who people want too see (whether they love him/her or not).
Franken, Moore or Garafolo would be among my choices. They wouldn't back down from the lies and bullshit that will come from the RNC podium.
James Carville would also be a choice of mine for the job.
Paul Begala would be too nice. If the Dems don't fight fire with fire this time, we might wind up as toast.

CNN was just appalling.
Did they ever think that most of the people watching the convention actually wanted to SEE the convention?

10. Then CNN should have Janeane Garofalo as a commentator. |
|
Garofalo is beating Laura Ingraham in the ratings in NY.

He gave his "commentary" right after Kerry's speech, so the DNC chairman should get a primetime slot for his reaction right after Bush's big speech - yea right, like that will happen.

11. How about suggesting Terry McCaulif? |
|
Since they did have the RNC chairman commenting on the DNC, it seems logical to have Terry comment on the RNC.
How about some panel guests like Joe Biden, Mario Cuomo, and Ted Kennedy.

When you looked and listened to all the RNC talking heads on CNN all were cool as cumcumbers. They did not rant and were direct and on message. What we need are people there to be able to speak in such a manner to explain and talk in such a way folks will understand and make the point there is one hell of a difference between Kerry and Bush, Democrats and Republicans.
