Kerry "Can Pull the Trigger"---does he have a gun in his back pocket???
Learned something about Kerry during the convention (actually had heard shades of it before). CNN did a 'piece' on how Kerry successfully won elections throughout his public career. The person featured in the piece who has followed Kerry all these years said "he wins because he relentlessly beats down his opponent and because in the end, he's not afraid to pull the trigger"!!!

Since the convention and the campaign seem to be based on not attacking Bush a lot but rather selling Kerry to the voters, that approach seems to be directly opposite of his proven winning strategies in the past. And, quite frankly, that makes me a little nervous (don't get rid of something that works). So I wonder----do you think that come fall the outright attacks will begin and begin "relentlessly"?? And, the thing that entices me the most, if he's not afraid to "pull the trigger" what "gun" does Kerry have in his back pocket with George's name written on the bullet??????

1. Still way to early for that--not enough people watching
wait till October---thats when things will heat up. He can't go for the jugular until bush swings big and misses.

3. vade---the thing I'm waiting for is the "trigger pulling"
In other words, Kerry will let go with bombs if need be when election approaches. Do you think that he (the DNC) have some major things to fling at Bush at the end?? I'm sure Bush will try to go after Teresa and everyone else and try to smear Kerry personally. Do they have something that might just stun the Rove crowd. After all, even confirmed in Time Magazine, the CIA and the Pentagon brass are after Bush and want him out-----I sure wouldn't want the CIA boys after me.

4. Go read the BCCI and IranContra threads here.
It's why Bush and Cheney did not WANT Kerry to be the nominee.

5. Ask Joe Trippi About Kerry in Iowa
Ask the North Vietnamese/Viet Cong soliders he attacked on the shores of the Mekong delta.

John Kerry is smart and cool headed when his back is against the wall.

Just wait until the debates and W pulls off one of his smirky, off-the-cuff remarks and watch how a serious leader responds to the reckless idiot we now have in the White House.

6. My concern is
that Kerry will hold onto all of this ammo and the debates will be canceled and he will be left holding onto that ammo while the chimp has been firing his for 6 months.

10. Good.
I hope so. Will the RW networks sell him the time though? I know "money" is their motivator, but for the RW cause, would they let him buy the time, do you think? I don't have ANY faith in the media doing the right thing...even for money. :( Murdoch? Hell, no. CNN, I doubt it. MSGOP? Questionable. The mainstream networks...CBS, NBC, and ABC wouldn't even cover the DNC. I question whether they would sell him time either. I don't know....the entire GOP controlled media has left me with a lot of doubt about their agenda.

7. Right now Kerry has to get the people to know him personally
Later he will chew Bush up and spit him out. And I do agree, I think he will bring up the connections that Bush and Cheney has with the Saudi Royal family and with big oil companies

9. Gayle and others---you might be right on the Saudi angle
because it explains why he brought it up in his speech. That could be the groundwork. I thought he might have mentioned it to play to F-9/11 movie that the crowd, of course, adores. But maybe, finally, we can get one of the criminal activities of this regime out in front of the people and make it stick. I've always thought that besides selling Kerry, we need to destroy Bush in the people's eyes.
