Does he actually believe his own lies ?? |
|
Scratching my head, this guy is out of touch with reality. But he yells his tall tales loudly and with conviction. "We have freed 50 million people in Afghanistan and Iraq!" From the frying pan into the fire?
"We have created over a million jobs since last August!" But what about the 3 million you lost in the first 3 years?
"The taxcuts are working!" How? The unemployment rate is still 2 million more unemployed than when you took office? What about those $450 billion dollar deficits? When do htose taxcuts put us into surplus?
"It will never happen on my watch!" What? It already has. Does he mean it will never happen again? Is he in some deep denial?
"They want to return us to the days of 'big-spending' and big government." Scratching my head again...Big government? He has proposed the largest big government budget in history consecutively for each of the last three years.
Is there an example where this guy has not lied? Please point it out? He must believe his own lies. And his supporters scream wildly, "Four more years! Four more years!".... <sigh>

9. Earth Day April 2004-"I'm the Environmental President".... |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-31-04 11:19 AM by Pachamama
http://nsnlb.us.publicus.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20040730/NEWS03/207300395/-1/newsThat Liar said in a speech on Earth Day that he has done a lot for the environment as he went on to talking about his plans for the "Wetlands"....I laughed so hard as I heard him say this on NPR and spit out my coffee...My 4 year old said "What's so funny Mommy?" I said to her that I heard the most ridiculous statement in the world and she started laughing too... Meanwhile, I guess this is his further "environmental" President and protecting our Wetlands plan...kinda like everything else he touches and ofcourse LIES about.... :grr:

7. I've come to the conclusion that he believes what he says |
|
By all accounts, he's surrounded himself with yes-men. By his own admission, he "doesn't read the papers". I think his entourage keeps him in a bubble where he hears whatever he wants to hear.

believe what we tell you!
He either believes his own lies, or he truly loves this mess he created, as he continues to smile while people suffer. Someone needs to wipe that smirk off of his face.

11. When Bu$h was at Ground Zero destruction right after 9/11 |
|
I was watching him closely on TV that day he showed up at the Twin Towers devestation...he was being shown around that horrible place of death and destruction, and had this totally bewildered look on his face. Then, the workers there at Ground Zero started calling to him, "Go get em George", "Give em hell, George"...I literally saw his demeanor transformed...his posture stiffened, his face got this rapturous look, and his bewilderment was gone. I think it was at that minute he got totally delusional and received his instructions from God. At the time, I was kinda impressed. That was then, this is now. But, I think he is truly delusional, and that his Handlers are using that delusion to accomplish their own agenda. It is pitiful and it is scary as hell.

12. There were a couple of times he got himself in a corner and told the truth |
|
Remeber he said Sadam didn't have WMD - just once - and then went back to lying. I think there was one more time. Oh yeah - when he was in Russia or Europe after 9-11 and the press there asked him what he was doing on the plane for 8 hours and he said he was running scared. Otherwise, everything he's said has been a lie.

13. It's imperative that he believe them |
|
He's an empty, vacuous man, devoid of principle or insight. It's absolutely vital that he believe what he's saying, and you hear this idea on the periphery of some of the Republican talking points: Well, Bush may have been misled on the intelligence leading up to the Iraq war, but he believed it, so when he was saying things on national TV that weren't true, they weren't lies, because he believed what he was saying.
Unsaid, of course, is the fact that he's got all the inquisitiveness of a professional wrestling referee. This comes from a lifetime of privilege. All of us know the adage, "If something seems too good to be true, it probably isn't." That's because a big mistake could cost us our livelihood or our savings. Stupidhead has never suffered the consequences of his actions, so when something shows up that's "too good to be true," he just figures that's the way the world works.
If you or I were a stumbling drunk for 40 years, we'd never become president. If you or I failed in business venture after business venture, we'd be out on the streets. Stupidhead got an $848,000 stake, part ownership of a major league baseball team, and a shot at the governorship of Texas.
And he has the nerve to say that John Kerry has never accomplished anything.

and he seems to be loonier than a loon (thus able to be so disconnected from reality.) Sadly some of his knee-jerk supporters seem to exhibit the same thing.

17. Denial is a cardinal symptom of the disease of alcoholism. |
|
Plus, he surrounds himself with those who agree with him.
I read a book about Woodrow Wilson recently--he was moralistic, inclined to see the world in terms of good and evil, to think that God was on his side, and to be smugly lacking in self-doubt, introspection, etc. And he chose wives who would support him completely, never challenge him.
Then I thought about Stepford Laura.
Doting Laura, in my mind, is proof that Bush does live in a fragile, encased reality that must not be challenged. So I'd say he does believe himself, and almost all he does is an attempt to defend that citadel from cracks of reality seeping in.

Since Bush attacked, the world is more dangerous than its been in decades.
